Folder Name

Each folder must have a name, composed of most any printable character except these: < > : " / \ |

Older versions of Windows limit a folder's name to just eight characters, optionally followed by a single period ("."), then up to three more characters. Newer versions of Windows (Windows 95 and later) allow folder names to contain as many as 255 characters.
